Since 31 May 2023, Terminal 2 has been reopened to the public.

The first train from Milan leaves Milano Cadorna station at 04:27 and arrives at Terminal 2 at 05:10
The last train to Milan leaves Terminal 2 at 00:20 and arrives at Milano Cadorna station at 01:04.

Direct connection to Malpensa airport by high speed train Frecciarossa (to and from Naples, Rome, Florence and Bologna) is no longer on duty. According to Trenitalia the reason is to be found in the rail accident that happened in April 2012, over 600 km from Malpensa airport.
